Ocean City MD beaches were slammed by Winter Storm Jonas while it showed up inland and threatened to dump two to three feet of snow. Jonas marched up the coast and did not disappoint with the snowfall amounts. Photo after photo showed the beautiful snow and the battle to dig out.
Winter Storm Jonas and The Beach Meet
While Winter Storm Jonas dumped the snow…something else was happening to our beaches. The Wolf Moon, high tides and Jonas, made for the perfect storm that show up with full vengeance to Ocean City MD and the DE beaches. The force of the waves ripped the Ocean City MD Fishing Pier to shreds, spewing into the ocean and on the beach. The parking lot filled with water and sand, the boards covered with trash, signs all over the place-debris everywhere.
While most everyone reported damage to the Ocean City MD pier and flooding downtown, reports of damage uptown was almost non-existent. Being my slice of heaven on the DE/MD border, I had to check it out.

The closer I got to Ocean City MD, the more I saw the damage and captured it with my camera to share with Ocean City Cool. As I attempted to cross the dune at 146th St. it was obvious that the damage was severe, my beach was gone and the shape of N. Ocean City MD changed.
This picture video [Watch Now!] shows the power that Winter Storm Jonas showed up with and how he took the beach at Ocean City MD with him.
Watch and be amazed, I still am. Watch on YouTube!
